You can now sign up for My Flights without an iOS device!
While you’ll get the best experience on an iPhone or iPad, you can now sign up for a web version by clicking on View Your Bookings / Sign Up and clicking Sign Up under the Login button.
You’ll receive your notifications over email, and when you do get round to getting yourself an iOS device, all of your bookings will be there waiting for you when you log in.
This is hot off the press, so please let me know if you experience any issues.
thanks. ist nice….but why no android Version? so many People use android. I would even pay for it.
Hi Adrian. I’d love to do an Android version at some point, though at the moment I’m concentrating on ensuring that the iPhone, iPad and Web versions are the best they can be. The next plans involve a web app to make it more small-screen-friendly, but the my key driver has always been to allow as many people as possible to receive reliable notifications about changes to their trips, and with the latest web version delivering changes over email, this is a big step towards enabling more people.
I’ve signed up for the web version but when I tried to add a bunch of different reservations none of them could be found in Sabre/Amadeus.
It would be great if the web version supported import from TripIt and/or adding flights manually based on date and flight #.
If you add these then I hope you’ll send an announcement by email to everybody who signed up for the web version…
Hi Ron,
Do the bookings work in checkmytrip.com? If anything works there and not in My Flights, let me know. Check My Trip is Amadeus’ own lookup tool.
I do plan to do TripIt integration from the Web. I tend to do announcements for new features on Facebook, so if you watch the facebook.com/myflightsapp you’ll see when these are released.
Thanks,
Chris
Hi Chris,
I have now two reservations that I can bring up at Check My Trip, but fail to load up in this app, web version.
Could you email me so that I can forward you the relevant details for you to debug?
Great app and I really like the notifications.
Hi – this should be working again now – apologies for the inconvenience while I worked out some connection issues with Amadeus
Totally hooked and reliant on My Flights and Tripit now; thanks for your hard work !
Have you any plans to add the seat plan functionability to the web version?
Hi Mike – I haven’t thought about the Seat Plans – I’ll add it to the wish list (which is ever growing!)
Thanks,
Chris
Hi! I don’t have an iPhone, so I am relying on the website. When I go to “My bookings”, nothing happens when I click on the Notifications link. I have tested in four different browsers, all with the same result. Will I receive notifications automatically via e-mail if there are any changes, or do I need to activate them? If so, do you have any tips on how to get the link working? Thanks.
Hi Kim,
Yes – you’ll get a notification by email as soon as changes are detected (you get this both on the iPhone version and the web version). The notifications will show under that menu item, but until you have notifications, that link won’t do anything.
No need to activate anything – if your booking was added using the Amadeus booking reference and last name, it’ll be monitored and alert you whenever changes are detected.
